Biography

Bernice Jarrell, 92, of Star City, died February 3, 2010 at JRMC. She was born in Bradley County to the late James Parker and Myra Atkins. She was a member of Yorktown Freewill Baptist Church.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Doyle Jarrell; a son, Paul Jarrell; brother, Nick Parker; sister Ethel Majors and a half brother, Lee Parker.

Survivors include four sons, Murphy Jarrell of Pine Bluff, James Jarrell, Lynn Jarrell, and Dell Jarrell, all of Star City. Nine grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:00 A.M with Bro. Frank Matchett officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Star City. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday at the funeral home.
