James Allen Owen, 52 of Star City died Monday at his home. He was born March 1, 1957 in Star City. He attended Crigler Missionary Baptist Church near Star City, and retired from the Arkansas Department of Correction after 28 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Owen.
Survivors include his mother, Guylene Owen, of Star City, wife, Brenda J. Owen of Star City, a son, Dustin Owen of Star City, four daughters, Ashley Jordan, Lorri McGee, and Maranda Holstead all of Star City and Candace Chapman of Rison. Other survivors include two sisters, Debbie Socia and Gayle Bills both of Star City and Fifteen Grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. David Leopard officiating. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
